Two courses of lectures on Leibniz were read by Zhilez Deleuz at the University of Paris-VIII (Vincennes) in 1980 and 1986-187 and became the last lecture courses in the life of the philosopher. Under the cover of the book – printouts of tape recordings that have retained live intonation and emotional system of Delezov’s speech. Unlike the book “fold: Leibniz and Baroque” he wrote later, a much more voluminous picture of the work of the German thinker unfolds in the lectures. Particular attention is paid to the analysis of the connection of the mathematical discoveries of Leibniz with his philosophy, parallels between Leibnis and Kant, as well as the main concepts of Leibnisian metaphysics. Leibniz’s philosophy becomes not only the key to understanding the Baroque era, but also the most important tool for constructing a modern picture of the world
