The textbook presents the texts of well -known judicial psychiatrists and psychologists devoted to the problem of determining the affect of the defendant in the practice of forensic examination. The history of the formation of a criminal concept of affect is highlighted. The ideas about the affect in general psychology are given. Modern forensic psychological expert criteria for the diagnosis of affect in the accused are set out. Examples of comprehensive judicial psychological and psychiatric examinations are given, devoted to the characteristics of affect in minors, differential diagnosis of normal affects with pathological affects, with “limited sanity”.
