Maxim Vyshnev (b. 1962) is well known to readers of modern Russian poetry as the author of 9 poetic collections, as well as scripts (stories, novels, play) and revelations (aphorisms, Maxima). By education – an economist, a member of the Union of Russian Writers (2005), speaks three foreign languages.
The poetics of M. Vyshnev is alien to the modernist formal experiment, the author entirely follows the classic canons of poem. He is characterized by topics, motives, poetic sizes traditional for Russian poetry. Philosophical lyrics are adjacent to love and landscape, genre sketches are interspersed with thoughts, household plots and travel notes.
