The reference book is designed to give the most complete idea of ​​the repertoire of East Slavic writing for the first four centuries of its history. It is based on data extracted from manuscript books of the XI-XIV centuries, each of which receives a characteristic both as a codicological whole, and as a collection of relatively independent works.
