Shrovetide is one of the favorite folk holidays in Rus’, celebrated on the eve of Great Lent. During the Shrovetide Week, the so -called cheesecake, bells ring in cities and villages, play accordions, children ride with ice slides, snow towns are being erected, pancakes are being baked, with motley colors, oil -farewells are burned as a fun farewell to winter and a meeting of spring, which carry warmth and update.
The collection for children of primary and secondary school age includes parables, stories and poems about Shrovetide and its celebration.
