The amazing theater storyteller Evgeny Lvovich Schwartz (1896-1958) was familiar with both the poetics of the avant-garde, and with the artistic search of the Oberiuts, but Hans Christian Andersen was the main creative mentor for him. Through all the works of the playwright, the cheerful conviction of the Andersen boy who saw the king without pants shines through: “… But he is naked!” But not only stupid, funny and ridiculous kings became the heroes of his plays.
