The Swedish writer of Selma Plotilia Luvis Lagerlöf is the first woman who received the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1909 “… As a sign of recognition of exalted idealism, bright imagination and spiritual perception that characterized her works …”, and the third that received her after Maria Curie and Berta Zuttner. Lagerlöf paid tribute to fantasy, fairy tale and turned to the past, she created a world full of festivities, romance and colorful adventures.
