The first step in the development of space space, taken on October 4, 1957, when an artificial satellite of the Earth was launched by the Soviet Union, laid the foundation for the creation of the youngest poster genre – cosmic. Here everything was filled with the holiday, which were successful flights of first satellites, then spacecraft, and in the end – spacecraft with a person on board. The pioneer of this genre was the artist Valentin Viktorov (1909-1981) – an unsurpassed master of decorative festive poster compositions.
