Cynics. British man: Anatoly Mariengof

The publication includes the novels of A. B. Mariengof “Cynics” and “Shaved Man”. For the first time published abroad, in the Berlin publishing house “Petropolis” (“Cynics” – in 1928, the “shaved man” – in 1930), in Soviet Russia the works of Mariengof were recognized “anti -social”. For many years, his name “fell” from the literary process. The opportunity to read the novel “Cynics” opened to Russian readers only in 1988, the “shaved man” was first published in Russia – in 1991. Today, no one has a doubt that the creative heritage of Mariengof, like Platonov, Pilnyak, Zamyatin, is a classic of the twentieth century.
