Development of Byzantine Liturgy: Mateos, Taft

The book consists of two small, but very important works of modern Catholic liturgists: Robert Taft and his teacher Juan Mateos. The authors are outstanding Western scientists who significantly influenced the development of liturgical science, known around the world with their fundamental research in the history of worship in the Christian East. Their writings, widely known in the West, are still expecting a translation into Russian.
Both presented in the collection of work, being written at different times, are devoted to the development of the rank of Byzantine liturgy and complement each other well. Thanks to the clarity and compactness of the presentation, they give the reader the opportunity to make an integral idea of ​​the complex history of the Eucharistic worship of the Orthodox Church.
