A collection of Japanese art in the MiMia named after A.S., Pushkin is one of the earliest and large in Russia. This catalog includes a total of about 1,500 works. Engravings made in the technique of xylography are the most significant and valuable part of the meeting. The collection includes, in addition to numerous easel works, posters of theaters and tea houses, greeting engravings of small forms (Surimono), engravings on fans, illustrated calendars, narrow vertical engravings (Hasira-E), serving to decorate the interior made by the famous Japanese artists.
