Having become a disabled person at the age of 36, Rev. Ambrose did not fall into despondency. And the heavier the attacks of the disease in the reverend were, the more he increased spiritually. Knowing firsthand what physical suffering is, Rev. Ambrose always found the strength to help others. His genuine love for their neighbors, kindness, simplicity in communication, everyday humor, spiritual advice missed through the heart had a life -giving effect on the suffering. After communicating with him, people were spiritually transformed, became different. The advice and instructions of St. Ambrose reached us in his letters to numerous spiritual children – laity and monks. This book will introduce us to the letters of the Monk dedicated to diseases – the reasons for their appearance and the Christian attitude towards them.
