The work presents the Soviet criminal situation, which was almost unknown to the modern Russian lawyer, developed on the basis of the Criminal Code of 1903 by the People’s Commissariat of the Russian Federation by March 1918, being a historical source-a monument of law, it reflects the views of a certain category of legal scientists who advocated continuity in the law, and in connection with this, an analysis of the main provisions of the criminal law doctrine will be given, in connection with this. established by the beginning of the XX century.; issues related to criminal law, crime, circumstances that exclude the crime of act, punishment are disclosed; A characteristic of a number of groups of crimes reflected in a special part of the Code is suited. The text of the Soviet Criminal Code and comparative tables of the ratio of its norms with the norms of the criminal Code of 1903 are given.
