The Alexandrian school in the history of Christian thought.
The training manual presents a course of lectures given by the author at the philosophical and historical faculties of Moscow State University named after M.V. Lomonosov in 1997-2009 The book introduces the reader to the Alexandrian school – a conceptual historical and philosophical concept, covering a complex of the most important issues of a late -mean and early Christian worldview. The development of philosophical ideas in their close connection with the reflection of religious thought is traced through a series of centuries – from the emergence of the Alexandrian school to its extinction and qualitative degeneration into the form of the inherent Christian thought of the “golden age” of intellectual tradition. Alexandria as a world center of culture competed with Rome and leader in the field of philosophical education.
