The book is devoted to the main products of beekeeping – honey and wax.
The first chapter describes in detail about the process of production of flower and paddle honey by bee family. The features of obtaining honey from an alternative initial product – sugar syrup in the process of autumn top dressing are also considered. The properties of bee honey from flower nectar and sugar syrup are analyzed in detail, and it is also said about the difficulties of identifying falsified honey. Recommendations for the consumer tasting of honey are given.
The second chapter of the book is dedicated to the wax of bee. It refers to how the bees distinguish and use wax for their own purposes, what properties this product has, how to harvest and process wax raw materials in the apiary. The author’s methodology for examining the authenticity of wax and its quality is given using simple and affordable techniques.
