Dawn in the trenches: Isaac Rosenberg

Isaac Rosenberg (1890-1918) – an outstanding English poet. During the First World War, he fought on the Western Front. He died in the battle of Arras. His poems are considered one of the most striking human documents of the past tragedy. The name of Isaac Rosepberg is immortalized on the stone tablets of the Westminster Abbey – in the famous corner of the English Frontovik poets.
In Russia, the poet’s work remained little -known. The translation of the military poems by Isaac Rosepberg was first carried out by the St. Petersburg poet and translator Evgeny Lukin.
The release of the book is dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the beginning of the First World War.
