The album book published on the 100th anniversary of the Russian Air Force is devoted to the history of the development and description of the system for applying identification signs on the sides of the aircraft, which took the service of the Russian Air Force/USSR in 1912-2012.
The system of standards for applying tactical numbers and identification marks is described in detail, and numerous informal inscriptions and drawings used at different stages of the development of the Air Force are also shown. The text is richly illustrated by color drawings of artists – leading aviation historians in our country, as well as color projections of aircraft with the image of used emblem.
