In his book “Philosophy of Fear”, the Norwegian philosopher Lars Svenderus claims that fear has penetrated everywhere – he dominates both the private life of a person and in society. The media, politicians and organizations that lobbying their interests, now and then warn us against all kinds of dangers and threats, as a result of which many of our actions are subordinated to fear.
The author explores the phenomenon of fear, reflects on why he repels and at the same time attracts us.
The book makes us think about the consequences of the exploitation of fear in politics and business, as well as what excessive concentration on dangers, imaginary or actually present in everyday life, can lead to.
