The textbook is the introduction of linear and nonlinear wave processes into the physics of the spread of electromagnetic and acoustic waves.
The mechanisms of the dispersion of the waves are described. The features of the spread of nonlinear waves are considered, practically not reflected at the modern level in the introductory educational literature.
The selected tasks are of a fundamental nature and create the basis for further study of the subject.
