The methods of creating and operational characteristics of composite materials based on polymer matrices are considered. The characteristics of fibrous and dispersed composites are compared. Within the framework of various theoretical models, methods for calculating the mechanical properties of composites are set out. Thermophysical properties, superficial phenomena, combustibility, mechanisms of increasing the impact strength and elasticity of filled materials are considered. Technological processes of obtaining dispersed-filled composites and reinforced materials are described.
